ChipMixer is a cryptocurrency Tumbler that was operated out of Vietnam from servers run in Germany. ChipMixer was taken down by US and European authorities in March 2023, and its alleged operator was charged with laundering more than $3 billion of criminal funds. The platform was popular for laundering illicit funds gained from ransomware attacks, crypto heists, and other types of fraud.
