Centralized Exchange

BTC-E was a crypto exchange focused on Russian-speaking users. As of March 2014, it ranked third in terms of trading volume on the bitcoin/dollar pair and first on the bitcoin/ruble pair. In the middle of 2017, the service was closed, servers and assets located in the USA were siezed by the FBI. Clients accounts were switched to the new WEX exchange service, which also stopped operations at the end of 2018 without returning their assets to clients.
