Garantex is a cryptocurrency exchange that was founded in 2019 and is based in Russia. It provides users with secure access to the global cryptocurrency market. The exchange allows users to buy, sell, and exchange cryptocurrencies using fiat currencies such as USD and RUB. Garantex is a rapidly growing exchange that offers zero-commission deposits and withdrawals. However, it has been sanctioned by the US government due to its connections with wallets used for criminal activity. In February 2022, Garantex lost its license to provide virtual currency services after supervision by Estonia’s Financial Intelligence Unit revealed critical AML/CFT deficiencies. Despite this, the exchange continues to operate in Russia as the major crypto exchange on local market.
